Sportsmanship is non‑negotiable. Coaches, players, parents and fans abide by USA Hockey's Zero Tolerance policy. We respect the officials, the opponents, and the rink that makes this all possible.
Whether your child is lacing up for the very first time or chasing playoff hockey at U14, there's a place for them in our program. Every level is led by experienced LYH coaches and Liberty University players.
Lynchburg Youth Hockey is a nonprofit, parent-run association serving the families of Central Virginia. We're affiliated with USA Hockey, sanctioned 501(c)(3), and proud to call LaHaye Ice Center on the campus of Liberty University our home rink.

Learn to Play welcomes ages 4-8, but really, if your child is comfortable leaving you at the gate, they're ready to skate.
Full hockey equipment is required. Used equipment may be available through LYHA for a small cost, or families can buy equipment online individually. We'll help you figure out the right setup for the right level.
Travel and House programs follow the USA Hockey calendar, roughly fall through spring. Learn to Play sessions run on shorter cycles year-round.
Fees vary by program and level. As a nonprofit, we work to keep hockey accessible. Reach out and we'll walk through the numbers honestly.
